At the end of July, the Chief Justice of the Nevada Supreme Court proposed the adoption of a rule that would create a Commission to look into creating a business court in the two largest judicial districts in Nevada. Here is the court’s docket on that rulemaking, which includes comment letters from interested parties.
A hearing was held on the proposal a few days ago, as noted in this article, and after hearing testimony, the Supreme Court took the matter under advisement – but it seemed pretty clear that they will move forward with forming a Commission and that the proposed rule will be revised before being adopted.
The article notes: “The new venue for resolving corporate law cases is expected to begin operations by 2026, according to Nevada Supreme Court Chief Justice Douglas Herndon.”
